Iroquois Preschool's Halloween

When most people think of Hawaii, they imagine themselves sitting in a lounge chair with a drink in hand soaking up the sun while breathing in the cool ocean air. It's a destination where the cares and worries of daily life magically melt away into utter bliss. If you live on the island, it can still be like that but you know that sometime within the next five minutes your child is going to need your care and attention.

Living in the apartment homes for rent in Ewa Beach, HI, is a dream come true. Life still goes on, though. The bills need paid, people get sick, and lunches need packed before school. It isn't always easy to keep children entertained. Thankfully, there are all sorts of outstanding activities here for children to take part in. One of the best ones on the island is coming up, the IPPS Halloween Carnival.

It might still be warm and sunny here, but Fall is in full swing and Hawaiians still know how to celebrate this wonderful season. If you've never heard of this spooktacular occasion before, here's what to expect.

When and Where

First things first, the date and the time. This event will take place on October 28th from 4 pm to 9 pm. It takes place right at the preschool, which is on Iroquois Avenue right here in Ewa Beach. Now that that's out of the way, let's dive into the festivities.

Fun in the Sun

This is Iroquois Point Preschools largest fundraising event of the year. Friends, family, neighbors and anyone else you can possibly think of is more than welcome to come take part in the fun. The nearby lagoon will be the central point of the festival where business and craft vendors will have their tables set up. There are all sorts of fall-themed games for the children to play, face painting, and interactive entertainers that make Halloween as exciting as it is in Oahu.

Live music will be playing throughout the event, and there is always more than enough food for everyone. This year will also feature a silent auction featuring items from numerous well known companies throughout the island. The auction is a live event, which means you'll be able to bid right on your smart phone by following this link.

Amazing Food

This year's vendor line up is looking fantastic! If you aren't familiar with the island's local eateries, then take a look at this list to get your mouth watering.

Donnie's BBQ Smokehouse: All sorts of Southern-style barbecue favorites.

D'LISH: Tacos, nachos and soft drinks galore.
J's Tasty Bites: Pork and chicken adobo, spicy chicken curry, lumpia, pancit bihon, pork guisantes, and lechon kawali and sisig.

Kealoha Seafoods: Poke, smoked pork, guava teri chicken, ahi katsu, fresh fish, and mochi dogs.
Mino'aka in a Jar: The best fruit juices around.
808 Burgers: Self-explanatory.

Mobile cusine via food trucks: Pasta, stir fry, stew, curry, and chowders.

IPPS will also have their food tent set up this year to serve cotton candy, popcorn, and bottled water.

Come dressed in your best costume and get ready to bust a move in the Halloween Freeze Dance Off. As everyone is moving and shaking about the DJ will yell freeze, prompting everyone to strike a pose. Points for best dance moves and best poses will determine who the winner of this fun contest will be. That is, of course, separate from the costume contest.

Adding an Extra Level of Fun

Kids love inflatable bounce houses, it's an unwritten law of the universe. Luckily, IPPS is going to have a ton of them. There are enclosed bounce houses, inflatable water slides, and open trampoline-like bouncers as well. Your kids are going to love this outstanding event. It truly is the best Fall event in the Ewa Beach area.

These rental homes and townhouses offer first-class amenities and community oriented activities that create the relaxed, friendly vibe Hawaii is known for.
